OLD MAN'S CHILD

Old Man’s Child is a melodic and symphonic black metal band from Oslo, Norway, founded in 1993 by Galder (Thomas Rune Andersen), the band’s sole permanent member. Initially formed as Requiem in 1989, the group evolved into Old Man’s Child and signed with Century Media in 1996 after releasing their debut, Born of the Flickering. Known for infrequent touring due to lineup changes, the band became a one-man project, with Galder utilizing session musicians. After years of silence, Old Man’s Child was reactivated in 2019. Galder left Dimmu Borgir in 2024 to focus on a new album and touring.

HARAKIRI FOR THE SKY

Harakiri For The Sky is an Austrian extreme metal band formed in Salzburg and Vienna in 2011 by vocalist JJ (Michael V. Wahntraum) and multi-instrumentalist Matthias Sollak. They have released four studio albums – Harakiri for the Sky (2012), Aokigahara (2014), III: Trauma (2016), and Arson (2018) – via German label AOP Records.

MALPHAS

Malphas is a Swiss occult black metal band formed in 2014 by Raven Dust (guitar), Xezbeth (guitar), and Excelsi Astaroth (vocals). They debuted with the demo Occult Propaganda (2015) and released their first album, Incantation, in 2017. Following several lineup changes, the band solidified with Raven Dust, Xezbeth, A. Tlemati (vocals), J. (drums), and Näbugring (bass). Their second album, Divinity’s Fall, dropped in 2022 via Folter Records, leading to European tours. In 2023, Flesh, Blood and Cosmic Storms expanded their reach. Malphas, now signed to Soulseller Records, plans to release a new album and tour with Merrimack in 2025.

PONTE DEL DIAVOLO

Ponte del Diavolo was born in Turin in the winter of 2020. The band was born from a jam between members of Feralia, Inchiuvatu, Abjura, Askesis. The band proposes a Doom / Black metal sound with old school roots, adding a modern and outside the box background. The female voice – with strong wave influences – is the lyric corpus of this strongly esoteric project. The solid presence of two basses creates the massive foundation for the rythmic guitar, everything marked by a raw and dynamic drumming. This rare combination builds the atmosphere of Ponte del Diavolo. The band is currently signed to Season of Mist.

VÍGLJÓS

Vígljós (Old Norse for the light which is just bright enough to be able to kill a man) was founded in Basel in 2022. As of Winter 2023, it consists of three members from Germany and Switzerland, wielding guitar, drums and vocals. They recorded their first studio album at Marc Obrist’s (Zeal & Ardor) Hutch Sounds in Oberwil, BL, publishing being planned for Spring 2024. On October 13th, a Friday most black and unholy, they were able to present their music to the public for the first time with a concert at Hirscheneck in Basel. Vígljós are strongly influenced by Norwegian protagonists of Second Wave Black Metal, Darkthrone, Immortal, and Burzum, just to name a few. With these gloomy stars of Black Metal fixed on their horizon, Vígljós interweave the sound of 90’s Black Metal with shades of synth, tremolo picking ,light rock’n roll riffs and beats, all backed by atmospheric mellotron tracks. The audience of their concerts must prepare for an auditive, visual and olfactory experience, surely not to be soon forgotten.

BEDRÄNGNIS

Bedrängnis is a swiss Misanthropic-Black Metal band which was founded in 2020 by “Aeshma”. Two years later the debut album “Die Bürde die wir tragen” was released and with “Fuath” as a permanent drummer the band’s line-up was completed.

On the foundation of somber texts over oppressing melodies the music reflects on the social interaction, that a lot of people’s behaviors is based on. The great dark side of ruthless society full of self-pity and bitterness, who digs it’s on grave over some irrelevant trivialities.

ELLEREVE

Ellereve is the project of German singer-songwriter Elisa Giulia Teschner, who crafts emotionally charged dark rock from her base in the Austrian Alps. Fusing elements of folk, shoegaze, and electronic music, her sound is intimate, intense, and atmospheric. Following her debut EP Heart Murmurs, she released the full-length album Reminiscence on Eisenwald Records, earning acclaim for its haunting beauty. Ellereve has performed across Europe, including at Amplifest Porto and WGT Leipzig. Her music, often written in solitude and refined with a live band, explores themes of melancholy and introspection, blending organic instrumentation with cinematic, synth-driven textures.
